Stain Removal

Imagine that you have just bought the dress you are dreaming about for a month now, you are putting it on getting your hair done, putting also of course some suitable make up and a fancy perfume and you are now ready off to go to show it off to all of your friends. And as you are chilling in the bar the worst case scenario happens right in front of your eyes – a drop of your wine glass is purposefully rolling down, relentlessly headed towards your décolletage. And there it is, just a sight second away from its goal, the red wine drop is landing and leaving a horrible stain on your brand new, beautiful dress.

But it is not the time to panic and run into tears, as we are here to offer you some great advices, how to remove some of the most common and stubborn stains.

1. Wine Stain: we must wash the cloth first with a cold water and after that you should apply a tick layer of yoghurt and leave it dry – preferably for the whole day. After that you can wash it and your beloved outfit should look again like a brand new one.

2. Perfume: take a small piece of cloth and soak it into alcohol, then rub the stain form both sides of the texture. After that wash it.

3. Paraffin wax: if it is a colour wax, lets say form a candle, it can be removed only with dry cleaning! If it is just natural wax, it can removed form the texture by putting it between two paper handkerchief or kitchen paper, then you must iron it on a hight temperature, and then replace the pieces of paper until it stops leaving spots on the paper.

4. Alkali: if dropped on a cloth or other items it is necessary the damaged parts to be washed immediately with cold water and after that once again to be washed with vinegar liquidized in the same amount of water. The final step would be one again to pre-wash it with cold water before putting it in to the washing machine.

5. Ink stain: the ink stain must be rubbed with ammonia and left soak into milk – it must be uncooked and cold, and after that it must be washed with warm water, in which a pinch of a salt it liquidized.

6. Indigo: we clean indigo stain with spirt, and after that it must be washed with water, mixed with baking soda.

7. Flourishing: it is easily removed with hot soapy water, in which you have put few drops of ammonia.

8. Iodine: you can clean it with a solution that contains 3 parts soapy liquid and 1 part petrol. Once you have applied it on the iodine stain, you must wait for a short while and wash it.

9. Мarker: rub the stain with a piece of cloth, soaked into lemmon juice and then wash with warm water.

10. Pen: pre-spray the stain the a alcohol combustion, mixed with few drops of white vinegar.

11. Оil paint: we must wash the cloth in a hot soapy water, in which we have put 5 soup spoons of turpentine. Oli paints stains on fabric made materials, cotton or wool materials, you can clean by soaking those half an hour up to an hour into pure turpentine. After that you should wash those in the way revelant for the material and described on the label.

12. Hair Dye: such a stain can be removed only if it is on a while material, with the usage of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and ammonia solution.

13. Glue / from jeans/: you should rub the spot with a solution form cool water and acetone. The stain clothes after that must be washed with a water that goes up to the limit of temerature the fabric allows. The stubborn stains could be left soak beforehands in a hot white vinegar.

14. Gum: Usually the easiest way to remove gum is by placing a piece of ice on it, or by putting the cloth in the freezer for a few minutes.

15. Grass: you must pat the stain with a piece of cotton, soaked in some alchohol, untill it is gone. Be carefull with the delicate materials. The other technique you can apply is to wash the cloth with alcohol, and in case this does not have the desired effect – you can apply hydrogen peroxide (but only in case the cloth is not color loose).

16. Blood: wash it with cold running water, and once the stain is gone, wash the whole cloth according to the instructions given on the lable. If the material is white, you can also add some bleach or ammonium alcohol. If the stains are old or previously pre-treated, you can apply 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution and leave it dry in the sun.
